Node Guardian

Read-only, signed health reports for your own Monero node. The agent runs on your machine, reads monerod's local RPC and signs the report with a key that never leaves it. Our servers never connect to your node or run commands on it.

Check a report

Set it up (5 minutes)

  1. Download the script next to your node and check its SHA-256 matches the one shown here.
  2. Read it: it is one short file with no dependencies beyond Python 3.8+ and OpenSSL 3 (or the Python cryptography package).
  3. Run init once. Save the public key it prints somewhere other than the node.
  4. Run report whenever you want (or from cron) and paste the output below, or verify it offline with the verify command.
Download xun-guardian.py

SHA-256: 8e1314ea72a5fb6f1bc032858c91da392c36dfbd16254bd0c4652996f1fcc78c

python3 xun-guardian.py init
python3 xun-guardian.py report > report.json
python3 xun-guardian.py verify report.json --pubkey <KEY>

What it does and doesn't do

  • Calls only get_info on your monerod RPC (a read-only call).
  • Reads free disk space of the data directory and the 1-minute load.
  • Prints a report signed with Ed25519. No hostname, IP address or wallet data is included.
  • Sends nothing anywhere: no network calls except to your own RPC, no open port, no remote commands, no root.
Beta. There is no automatic push or alerting yet: you decide where reports go. The check below runs entirely in your browser; the only request it makes is to our public network-height API.
