Monero Node Infrastructure
Public remote nodes measured every 10 minutes, and guides to run your own node safely.
Remote Node Health Board
OperationalEach node gets one get_info call over HTTPS every 10 minutes from Cloudflare's network. Healthy = valid mainnet answer within 5 blocks of the median height.

Last measurement: 2026-10-30 07:20 UTC. Latency is measured from the Cloudflare location that ran the check, not from you. List selected from monero.fail; all are restricted-RPC nodes on HTTPS. Healthy does not mean trustworthy. JSON: /api/v1/nodes
Remote node risks
A remote node sees your IP address and when your wallet connects, and can try to correlate your transactions. It cannot see your balance or spend your coins. Running your own node removes this; Tor or I2P reduce it.Run your own node
Run a Monero full node on Ubuntu
Install the official monerod binary, verify it, run it as a dedicated user under systemd, and open only the P2P port.

Run a node on a VPS
What to rent, how to harden the server, and when a pruned node is the better choice.
10 min →
Run monerod with Docker
A compose file for a containerised node. There is no official Monero image; know what you run.
8 min →
Secure RPC: offer a public restricted node safely
Keep the full RPC private, publish only the restricted RPC, and add TLS.
8 min →
Tor: hide your node's transactions and offer an onion RPC
Relay your own transactions over Tor, accept inbound peers over Tor, and give wallets an .onion RPC address.
10 min →
I2P: relay transactions over I2P
Use i2pd as a SOCKS proxy for transaction relay and accept inbound I2P peers.

Node Guardian
BetaSelf-hosted monitoring for your own node: a small read-only agent you run next to monerod that prints Ed25519-signed health reports (height, sync, peers, disk). Check them on the Node Guardian page. Our servers never connect into your node or run commands on it.
