XMR Swap Navigator

Compare live rates to swap Monero, see who holds your coins during the swap, and open an executable route.

XMR

Live provider rates are requested only when you press the button (max 3 per minute).

Read before you swap

Instant exchanges (ChangeNOW, Exolix) briefly hold your coins during the swap and may pause a swap for risk checks. Peer-to-peer and atomic-swap projects avoid a central custodian but have their own risks (software, counterparties, liquidity). Every swap route carries some risk.

Directory of swap options

External projects are listed for discovery. Their descriptions come from their own documentation; we have not verified their claims or security.

RugWard Bitcoin & Monero Swap (ChangeNOW route)

Executable via RugWard

Instant exchange via partner · Custodial during swap

Live keyed ChangeNOW quotes, every fee listed, swap status tracking. RugWard never holds the coins; ChangeNOW does during the swap.

Pairs: XMR ↔ BTC, ETH, LTC, SOL, BNB, USDT (several networks), USDC

Caveat: ChangeNOW may pause a swap for risk checks; RugWard cannot release a paused swap.

Haveno (e.g. the RetoSwap network)

External listing

Decentralized P2P exchange (desktop app, Tor) · P2P with multisig escrow · Not verified by us

Peer-to-peer XMR trading for fiat and crypto over Tor; trade funds are locked in Monero multisig with an arbitrator for disputes (per the project's docs). Haveno is software; public networks such as RetoSwap run it.

Pairs: XMR ↔ fiat methods and cryptocurrencies (depends on network)

Caveat: Counterparty and arbitration risk; network operators set fees and rules.

BasicSwap DEX

External listing

Atomic-swap DEX (desktop app) · Atomic swap (per project) · Not verified by us

Cross-chain atomic swaps between Bitcoin, Monero and other coins, settled on-chain between peers without an intermediary (per the project's docs). Runs your own coin nodes locally.

Pairs: XMR ↔ BTC, LTC and others

Caveat: Needs local nodes and disk space; liquidity depends on open offers.

eigenwallet (formerly UnstoppableSwap)

External listing

Atomic-swap wallet (desktop) · Atomic swap (per project) · Not verified by us

Monero wallet with built-in Bitcoin → Monero atomic swaps against market makers, everything over Tor (per the project's site).

Pairs: BTC → XMR

Caveat: One direction (BTC to XMR); liquidity depends on available market makers.

Bisq

External listing

Decentralized P2P exchange (desktop app) · P2P with multisig escrow · Not verified by us

Long-running P2P exchange with security deposits held in Bitcoin multisig; offers XMR/BTC trades among other markets (per the project's docs).

Pairs: XMR ↔ BTC

Caveat: Requires BTC for the security deposit; trade liquidity varies.

Trocador

External listing

Exchange aggregator · Aggregator of exchanges · Not verified by us

Compares and routes to multiple instant exchanges; the selected exchange holds the coins during the swap.

Pairs: XMR ↔ many assets

Caveat: Custody and KYC rules are those of the exchange it routes to. Planned as a RugWard route once its partner key is active.

Exolix

Rate only (not executable here)

Instant exchange · Custodial during swap · Not verified by us

Instant exchange; its public rate API is included in the live comparison above.

Pairs: XMR ↔ many assets

Caveat: Holds coins during the swap; may request verification.

How the Navigator works

  • Each provider is an independent adapter that returns a live rate or an explicit reason. We never estimate a rate.
  • The RugWard row is ChangeNOW's live keyed partner quote, requested from RugWard over an internal service binding, and executed on rugward.com.
  • Exolix and ChangeNOW public rates are for comparison only (no swap is created here).
  • The Kraken mid price is a market reference, not an offer; any rate more than 20% away from it is hidden as a broken answer.
  • Haveno, BasicSwap, eigenwallet and Bisq are external listings until a verifiable integration exists.
